Depending on the creditor and the type of credit, you might be able to extend the loan period, reduce your payments, suspend repayments for a certain period, or even repay the loan early with a low interest rate. Anything you can do to better manage your debt will ease the stress on you and your finances.

Lastly, there are many independent and government agencies that have been set up to help people get out of debt. It is a wise thing to do to look at all these options in order to have the right expertise and experienced individuals help guide you out of your difficult financial situation.
